MINNEAPOLIS- As the heat wave continues, there are several places you can go across the metro to try to beat the heat:

On Wednesday, there are several air-conditioned facilities that will be open in Hennepin County:

Richardson Nature Center
Kroening Interpretive Center
French Visitor Center
Hyland Visitor Center

Also, nine Twin Cities Salvation Army locations are offering ice-cold water and shelter from the heat on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Salvation Army Harbor Light Shelter will remain open until 7 p.m. and also on Saturday and Sunday. Everyone is welcome at these locations:
