CHANHASSEN, Minn. - A Twin Cities area swim school was evacuated and four people treated at a local hospital after a chlorine spill in Chanhassen Sunday.

First responders were called to the Foss Swim School in Chanhassen just after 2:45 p.m. on reports of a strong chlorine smell.

Carver County Deputies and the Chanhassen Fire Department arrived on the scene and assisted the Foss Swim School staff with evacuating the building after a small leak was discovered. There were approximately 30 people in the building at the time of the incident.

Four people were found to be suffering symptoms from the chemicals. They were transported to area hospitals.

Investigators from the sheriff's department and Foss continue to investigate the cause of the leak.
