GARY, Minn. - Two people are dead following a head-on collision on a highway in northwestern Minnesota Thursday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 76-year-old man driving a Mercury Marquis was headed south on State Highway 32 when he swerved into the northbound lane, striking another vehicle head on.

Troopers say the driver of the Mercury was killed, as was the 66-year-old male driver of the Chevy Impala he struck.

The crash happened north of the town of Gary shortly after 2 p.m.
