MINNEAPOLIS - Metro Transit is offering free rides to passengers on New Year's Eve. On Tuesday December 31, passengers can ride free from 6 p.m. through the last scheduled trip on all Metro Transit buses and the Metro Blue Line.
Free rides will also be offered by the Metropolitan Council, Plymouth Metrolink, Anoka County and Minnesota Valley Transit Authority including the Red Line that runs from Apple Valley to the Mall of America.
The free ride offer is not available on the Northstar Commuter Rail Line.
The free ride program is offered as a partnership between Metro Transit and Miller Lite beer.
