BALDWIN, Wis. - The woman killed when the truck she was riding in was hit by a train in western Wisconsin Wednesday has been identified.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office says 69-year-old Gloria Helen Marske of Cumberland died of injuries sustained when her husband's pickup became stuck at a crossing just off state Highway 12 near Baldwin.

Investigators say Marke's husband, 69-year-old Roy Lee Marske, was crossing the tracks when he noticed the train approaching. They say he put the truck in reverse and tried to back off the crossing but became stuck. The train couldn't stop and hit the pickup, killing Gloria Marske and sending Roy Marske to the hospital.

Union Pacific made counselors available to the 3-person crew involved in the fatal incident.

Wednesday's fatal collision occurred just two days after the driver of a septic truck was killed when his vehicle was struck by a train at a crossing near Roberts, Wisconsin.
