MINNEAPOLIS - Some shoppers are apparently staying away from Target in the wake of the largest retail security breach in history.

USA Today says Katar Retail, a global brand consultant, found 33 percent of U.S. households shopped at Target in January, down from 43 percent in 2013. Reasons given were a lack of trust and confidence that their information would be safe.

Katar also says that 5 to 10 percent of customers they talked to will probably stay away permanently.

Others say they will only use cash at Target, or shop competitors.
