WASECA, Minn. - A total of three explosive devices have been found on a playground in a Waseca elementary school.
On Monday, police in southern Minnesota say melting snow revealed a pair of devices at Hartley Elementary School, one of which had detonated, and another that had failed to ignite.
Police say the devices appeared to be old and likely were there for a while.
On Friday, a third device inside of a stuffed toy was also found. It was already detonated.
Nobody was hurt in either of the incidents, police said.
They say it's not immediately clear whether the devices were intentionally left on the playground to hurt kids. They ask anyone with information to call 507-835-9720.
