RAMSEY, Minn. - The search for a missing Ramsey man resumed on Sunday.

Friends identified Travis Benjamin, 39, as the man who was standing on top of an SUV after it was driven into the Mississippi River on Friday. A passenger in the vehicle was rescued, but Benjamin was last seen falling into the water.

Crews arrived on the scene after neighbors reported that a Hummer left the road, drove through a backyard of a home and into the river.

The Anoka County Dive Team searched all day on Friday, but they did not search on Saturday due to what they called dangerous conditions.

Friends of Benjamin, who is a University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire graduate and a veteran, searched the shoreline on Saturday.
