RED WING, Minn. - A fundraiser was held Saturday in Red Wing for a 28-year-old single mother who is battling breast cancer for the second time.

Friends and family gathered at the Applebee's on Saturday for a pancake breakfast and rally from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in support of Cassy Hoven and her son Bryce.

The event included a silent auction with items donated from local businesses, sports teams and national celebrities including golfers Phil Mickelson and Arnold Palmer.

Hoven received her original diagnosis in December 2012. She received two chemotherapy treatments, followed by a double mastectomy and reconstruction. In April 2013, she received news that she was cancer free.

In January 2014, Casey found another lump. Surgery removed the tumor, which was clear of any cancer. But, the tumor was more aggressive and doctors decided to go a step further. Hoven endured 34 straight days of radiation, which is a 50-mile drive from her home.

Saturday's benefit raised thousands of dollars for the family.
