LA CROSSE, Wis. - La Crosse police say the death of a 23-year-old man whose body was pulled from the Black River has been ruled an accidental drowning.
Divers recovered the body of Shalim Augustine of La Crosse on Friday evening. He'd been missing since Tuesday night.
Police said Monday that there is no evidence of foul play. Toxicology reports won't be available for several weeks.
Augustine had gone boating with co-workers Tuesday night. After the group docked, Augustine told his friends he was walking home. He was reported missing the following evening when he didn't show up to work.
Police continue to investigate and are asking for the public's help.
