BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. - A fire broke out around 10 a.m. Saturday morning on the 3800 block of 56th Avenue North in Brooklyn Center.

According to fire officials several fire crews were on site fighting the blaze, but the home was a complete loss. The fire started in a garage and spread, but twelve people inside the home and neighboring homes were able to make it out safely.

Initial reports are that the fire was caused by a propane deep fryer.
