Help local families and individuals in need with your unwanted household items.
BLOOMINGTON, MINN. - As Spring begins, the start of Spring cleaning is right around the corner and a local nonprofit organization is depending on donations to help those in need.
Bridging is the largest furniture bank in North America, providing furniture and household goods that are critically low in inventory for 4,000 local families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty each year.
Items that are critically low in inventory this Spring include: dressers, kitchen tables, wood furniture such as night stands, end tables, coffee tables, and bookshelves, as well as upholstered furniture.
Bridging asks the community to drop-off donations from Monday through Thursday, 10:00am to 6:00pm and Friday and Saturday, 9:00am to 3:00pm.
There are two drop-off locations at 201 West 87th Street, Bloomington, Minn. and 1633 Terrace Drive, Roseville, Minn.
Fee-based furniture pickups are available by visiting bridging.org.
