MINNEAPOLIS -- If Timberwolves forward Kevin Love keeps up his impressive play, his season statistics could end up earning him one of the most impressive seasons in NBA history. And as he continues to hustle for jumpers and rebounds, digital media specialists hustle on-line, trying to get him the fan votes he needs to earn a starting spot in the All Star Game.

"Obviously it means a lot when they pick you as a reserve; it means you have a lot of respect around the league. But to be an All Star Starter, it means you kind of have the best of both worlds, with the fans, the fans are who you play for," Love told reporters before a home game against the Phoenix Suns.

With two weeks of all-star voting remaining, Love was 20,000 fan votes shy of the third and final starting spot for Forward/Centers in the Western Conference. At this point in the season, he's second in points per game and rebounds per game, a rare feat for any player.

His teammates were certainly ready to rally for the cause.

"What more can he do? He's leading us every single day," Center Ronny Turiaf said.

"Obviously I'm biased, but I think there's no question he should be (a starter). You look at the stats he puts up, the numbers he gets with rebounds and points; there's no question in my mind that he deserves to be a starter in the All Star Game," forward Robbie Hummel told KARE 11.

"So we're making a big push here in Minnesota," Wolves Director of Digital Media Bob Stanke said, in the midst of 'Show Kevin Some Love' Day.

"Me and you right here, right now… there are five different ways we can vote, and we can do it 10 times (per day) on each platform," Stanke explained.

Here's how to do it:

-Text 'Love' to 69622

-Tweet 'Kevin Love' and include #nbaballot

-Visit nba.com/asb

-Post any photo on Instagram and include 'Kevin Love' with #nbaballot in the caption

-Comment on an official NBA All-Star Facebook post including 'Kevin Love' name with #nbaballot

"It's an elite group of players that actually perform at that level in all of history in the NBA so he needs to get in," Stanke concluded.

Not impressed by Love's scoring and rebounding statistics? He also collected more than 4,500 coats for people in need this winter.
