COLD SPRING, Minn.-- In Cold Spring there is no question who the MVP is. Only one number matters in this town. Only one name counts: Eric Decker.
"Sometimes I still feel like I'm in a dream," Patti Decker, Eric Decker's aunt, said.
Patti was up at 2:30 a.m. Super Bowl Sunday, nervous but hopeful.
David Sauer went to Rocori high school with Decker and played football with him. The two are still best friends.
"You just kind of got to pinch yourself every time you see him on TV and on ESPN…it's surreal," Sauer said.
It's so surreal that when Decker was interviewed before the game, Sauer still paused to watch.
Super Bowl or no Super Bowl, Decker is already a champion in Cold Spring.
