MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Senior Games will be held August 2-9 in Bloomington, Minneapolis and St. Paul. It's an Olympic-style event for athletes 50 years and older. It consists of 21 different competitions for medaling sports plus demonstration sports. Registration is underway and healthy seniors are encouraged to participate.
The Minnesota Senior Games is a qualifier for next summer's National Senior Games, which will be held in Minnesota. More than 13,000 athletes from around the country are expected during the 10-day competition.
