MINNEAPOLIS - Former Minnesota Golden Gophers wide receiver Andre McDonald has a new team.

The Hopkins native left the Gophers program in the fall after being suspended.

He tells the Minnesota Daily that he'll head to Division 3 Wisconsin-River Falls.

McDonald was highly recruited coming out of Hopkins, but he only played eight games for the Gophers.

The report said that McDonald admitted to having some drug issues, but after going through rehab, he says he's anxious to restart his career with the Falcons.
