VADNAIS HEIGHTS, Minn. - A private online school will not be competing in this year's Minnesota high school girls' hockey tournament after concerns over some players' eligibility.

Achiever Academy conducted a review of athletic eligibility at the request of the Minnesota State High School League.

The school and the league released a joint statement Thursday, just hours before Achiever Academy was to play St. Paul United in their section championship game.

The statement said St. Paul United will advance to next week's State Girls' Hockey Tournament representing Section 4A.
