BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- It was a beautiful, warm day in January for the Buck Hill Invitational ski meet on Friday, but it made conditions difficult for the participants.

Unless your name is Connor Croasdale. The Lakeville North junior was the leader after the first run, and he didn't let up.

Croasdale tried to win this race since 7th grade and Friday he put it all together. He knows how to ski Buck Hill, by using lighter edges. The experience paid off big.

Connor finished 19th at state last year as a sophomore but after Friday's win, he might be considered the favorite.
