MINNEAPOLIS - You can't really expect a sport whose players are called "the boys of summer" to play in stuff like this.

The Minnesota Twins announced that Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Blue Jays has been cancelled due to the miserable weather that blew into the Twin Cities this morning. The contest was scheduled to begin at 7:10 p.m.

Instead, the game will be played as part of a day/night doubleheader Thursday, with the originally scheduled game starting at 12:10 p.m., and the makeup game set for 6:10 p.m.

Fans holding tickets to Wednesday night's contest have two options.

-Utilize their tickets for admission into Thursday's 6:10 p.m. makeup game, or....

-Exchange those tickets for a future Twins 2014 regular-season game. Those unused tickets can only be exchanged at the Target Field ticket office.
