MINNEAPOLIS - He was barely in the Twin Cities long enough to unpack.
Less than two months after they made a big splash by signing free agent slugger Kendrys Morales, the Twins have traded the big right-handed hitter to the Seattle Mariners.
In exchange for Morales the Twins get right-handed pitcher Stephen Pryor, who will be assigned to the club's AAA affiliate in Rochester.
Morales, signed by the Twins on June 8, appeared in 39 games this season hitting .234 (36-for-154) with 11 doubles, one home run and 18 RBI.
The 25-year-old Pryor made just one appearance for the Mariners this year after opening the season on the disabled list. He appeared in 34 games with the Mariners from 2012-2014, recording a 2.81 ERA (32.0 IP, 10 ER) with 35 strikeouts.
The 6-4, 245 pound reliever was originally drafted by the Mariners in fifth round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Tennessee Tech University.
