A member of the Denver Broncos security staff spoke with cornerback Aqib Talib on Sunday, who assured the team he had not been arrested in Dallas for public intoxication, refuting an initial report from the Dallas Police Department.

Dallas police spokesman Max Geron confirmed to USA TODAY Sports via email that the department's initial information was incorrect, and that it was Talib's older brother, Yaqub Talib, who had been taken to a detox facility after causing a disturbance at a Dallas nightclub.

Broncos spokesman Patrick Smyth told USA TODAY Sports a team security official had been in touch with Talib and that the cornerback was at home and not in police custody.
