EDEN PRAIRIE Minn. - The Minnesota Vikings have made a move to bolster their defensive backfield by signing former Philadelphia Eagles safety Kurt Coleman.

Coleman, a 4-year-NFL veteran, was drafted out of Ohio State and has started 29 of 59 career regular season games, and one of two playoff games he was rostered for. He intercepted 6 passes for the Eagles over the 2011-12 seasons, including three in one game.

He was credited for 105 tackles in 2012, second on the Eagles despite the fact Coleman missed two games.
