EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Vikings started the day with a pair of 5th round picks, a sixth round pick and a seventh round pick.

Minutes after they selected David Yankey with the pick they acquired from Cleveland on Thursday, they started to trade.

They ended up trading out of the fifth round. In return, they had two sixth round picks and three seventh round picks.

They used the two sixth round selections at a position of need. Through the first two days of the draft, the Vikings passed on cornerback, but with pick No. 182, they chose Antone Exum, a defensive back from Virginia Tech, and with pick No. 184, they chose Kendall James, a cornerback from Maine.

Exum has good size at 6 feet 213 pounds. NFL.com described him as a "big, strong cornerback with appealing size, field speed and press-coverage ability. Must prove that he can recover from off-season knee surgery and return to being the player he was as a junior." The Vikings listi him as a safety on it's website.

Meanwhile, James is a smaller, speedy corner. NFL.com described him as an "undersized, extremely short-armed, feisty corner with potential to contribute as a sub-package defender. Offers appealing fluidity, twitch, speed and ball skills, though he will always face size and strength limitations."
