BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The stoic football coach forever linked to the glory days of the Minnesota Vikings will hold what organizers are describing as his 'biggest, best and last' garage sale.
The website gsalr.com says Bud Grant will sell everything from hunting and outdoor gear to one-of-a-kind items from his personal NFL collection. Among those listed are duck and turkey decoys, fishing gear, an outboard motor and a signed snowmobile helmet.
Bud Grant's garage sale is set for Wednesday, May 21 through Friday, May 23, at 8134 Oakmere Drive in Bloomington. He coached the Vikings from 1967 to 1983, and then for one more year in 1985.
Garage sales are apparently becoming the rage for Minnesota sports icons. Newspaper and radio legend Sid Hartman recently staged his own estate sale with items from his storied career.
