MINNEAPOLIS - The WNBA named Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore its Western Conference Player of the Week for they week which ended on Sunday.
The Player of the Week award is Moore's first of the season and sixth of her career.
Moore started off the week scoring 34 points in the season opener against Washington. She also added nine rebounds in the win.
She scored 33 points and added 12 rebounds in the home opener against the Connecticut Sun. She also finished that game with five steals leading the Lynx to another win.
She erupted for a career-high 38 points, including the game winning free throws with 11.8 seconds left in a win at Tulsa.
The defending champion Lynx are 4-0 on the season.
