GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- Kevin Wier from the Minnesota Zoo joined us this morning with a look at the zoo's newest addition, "Dr. Seuss Is on the Loose", a bronze sculpture display of the most famous characters created by Dr. Seuss. He also brought along an adorable slow loris, inspired by Dr. Seuss's book, The Lorax.
As part of "Dr. Seuss Is on the Loose", families will come face-to-face with The Cat in the Hat, The Grinch, Sam I Am from Green Eggs and Ham, Yertle the Turtle and the Lorax. The creation of the Dr. Seuss bronze collection marks the first time large-scale bronze sculptures based upon Seuss's work have ever been made available for public exhibition. "Dr. Seuss Is on the Loose" will also feature a scavenger hunt throughout the zoo, colorful character cut-outs, Dr. Seuss story time, fun facts and more.
The exhibit is on display now through July 4. For more information, visit www.mnzoo.org.
