GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- Dan Hendrickson from the Better Business Bureau joined us today to talk about National Protect Your Identity Week. The focus of the week this year is on child identity theft, which is a growing problem. Scammers are finding inactive Social Security numbers online - most of which are assigned to children under the age of 18 who have not started using them yet - then selling the numbers under different names to help people establish fake credit.
