MINNEAPOLIS - A slippery, sloppy commute to start your week will not be repeated for the rest of this week! A quiet week ahead with temperatures starting Tuesday morning in the single digits just under 10 degrees and a slow warm up is on tap for the rest of the week.
Temperatures will warm in the the mid 20s on Tuesday and then back into the 30s starting on Wednesday.
The snowfall over the weekend puts us officially at 14.4" for the season so far. This puts us 16.1." behind for the season to date. What is remarkable is that last year we had already had 55.4" pile up in the metro.
The average high temperature has slowly climbed back to 25 degrees by the time we get to this weekend. Temperatures look like they will be warmer until the weekend when it cools down into the low to mid 20s.
Day time is increasing we are gaining two to three minutes a day so by the end of this week the sunset is not until 5:15.
