Search for new Anoka-Hennepin Schools Superintendent

ANOKA, Minn. — The biggest school district in Minnesota is getting closer to having a new superintendent

The Anoka-Hennepin School Board will begin a second day of interviews for the job.

Right now there are five candidates.

The School Board is expected to name the finalists following the interviews Wednesday night. District officials are expected to schedule full-day interviews for the finalists on Dec. 5, 6 and 7. 

"The decision on a preferred candidate for superintendent is expected either Dec. 6 or 7," according to the Anoka-Hennepin Schools website.

The Anoka-Hennepin superintendent is in charge of over 37,000 students, and  2,000 teachers across 52 schools. The selected candidate is expected to begin work on July 1, 2023. 

The interview sessions are open to the public and will take place at the district's Educational Services Center (ESC), located at 2727 N. Ferry St. in Anoka.
