ST. PAUL, Minn. - For the first time in the three years since CHS Field opened, the St. Paul Saints will host a two-week winter event for all ages from Jan. 25 to Feb. 10.
The event highlight will be the Saint Paul Super Slide, presented by Securian. Riders will take a tube down the giant snow slide measuring 40 feet high and 130 feet long.
The event will also feature an ice fishing pond where visitors can fish for rainbow trout on plexiglass "ice." 15-18 people can fish at a time on the man-made pond, which will hold 150 pounds of rainbow trout.
The Super Slide is open Tuesday-Friday from 5-9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. It will cost $10 for adults and $5 for children for unlimited rides during a one-hour time slot.
The ice fishing pond is open Saturday, Jan. 27-Saturday Feb. 3 with the same hours as the Super Slide. Tickets are $5 for 10 minutes. Poles and bait are provided and you can take home what you catch.
Entrance into CHS Field is free. There will be outdoor warming zones and concession stands.
