Eagles fans throw beer cans at Vikings fans, team bus

Eagles fans were caught on video throwing beer cans and bottles at Vikings fans, and the team bus, before and after the game.

PHILADELPHIA - The City of Brotherly Love didn't exactly live up to its name Sunday.

Before the Vikings loss in the NFC Championship Sunday, KARE 11's Ryan Shaver followed Vikings fans through a parking lot filled with Eagles tailgaters. They weren't exactly welcomed.

Later on, a fan captured Eagles fans on video throwing beer cans and bottles at Vikings fans as they walked towards Lincoln Financial Field.

After the game, a video posted on social media also allegedly showed Eagles fans throwing beers at the Vikings' team bus. A warning: The video contains some explicit language.

Photos circulating twitter also showed two men in Eagles jerseys holding a banner with offensive language aimed at Minnesota's beloved Millie (a 99-year-old Vikings fan who had become the team's good luck charm).

This is apparently nothing new to Philly. Before the game city workers were seen greasing light poles in a bid to prevent fans from climbing them or pulling them down in the event of a victory. after the NFC Championship game.

Officials say the grease makes the poles too slippery to grip or climb. Workers applying the grease are jokingly calling themselves the "Crisco Cops."

Get ready, Minnesota. These fans will be in the Twin Cities in just under two weeks.
