KARE honored with 12 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards

The recognition includes awards in multiple categories, including newscast, documentary, podcast, and overall excellence.

WASHINGTON — KARE 11 is honored to be recognized by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) with a station-record 12 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in a variety of categories for reports produced during the 2022 calendar year.

The awards include Overall Excellence for the ninth consecutive year, as well as honors for investigative reporting and news documentary (for "The Gap: Failure to Treat, Failure to Protect," which also recently won a prestigious Peabody Award) and newscast (for KARE 11 News at 10).

"I am beyond thrilled for our team," said KARE 11 News Director Stacey Nogy. "The awards represent the outstanding work of so many different people in our newsroom and they validate our commitment to impactful journalism."

"These prestigious awards show the dedication of everyone at KARE 11 to maintaining the standard of excellence that is the hallmark of our station," said KARE 11 President/General Manager Bill Dallman.
