GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. —
Jeremiah joined KARE 11 in December 2012 as an anchor and reporter for KARE 11 Sunrise, and has also worked behind the scenes as a producer and executive producer at the station. He was named KARE 11's Director of Digital Content in 2021 (but still occasionally pops up on-air!).
Jeremiah was raised in central Minnesota and graduated from St. Cloud State University. He started his career as a reporter in Alexandria, later moving to Rochester as the morning anchor at KTTC for six years. He then spent five years in sunny Fort Myers, Fla. as weekend news/sports anchor and political reporter.
Jeremiah is a four-time Regional Emmy award winner, and has served on the board of the Minnesota Broadcasters Association since 2019.
Favorite story you worked on: I covered the presidential campaign in Florida during the 2012 election, which meant numerous campaign visits, debates and the political conventions. It was a great opportunity and exciting to be at the center of the process!
Favorite sports team: The Twins. Even when I was in Florida, I lived in the spring training home of the Twins in Fort Myers, so it was a perfect place to keep up with the team. And it was warmer.
Favorite subject in school: American History. And now working in news gives me a incredible chance to witness that history every day.
Why do you like your job? There's always something new! New people to meet, new stories to tell. You never know what each day will bring.
