GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Kent Floyd joined KARE 11 in Oct. 2021 as the Managing Editor.
Born in Trinidad and Tobago and raised in Laurel, Maryland, Kent joined the U.S. Navy after high school and graduated from Langston University in Oklahoma with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
He spent the last 10 years as a Foreign Desk Producer and Video Editor for NBC News Channel and produced the past three Olympic Games in Rio, Pyeongchang and Tokyo.
Kent also produced Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, Texas.
Favorite sports team: The Cleveland Browns.
Favorite subject in school: Photography, I loved creating a pinhole camera.
