Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band, Pitbull to headline 2020 Twin Cities Summer Jam

Other acts spread out over the three-day festival include Third Eye Blind, Nelly, LOCASH, Blanco Brown, The Fabulous Armadillos and The Chris Hawkey Band.

SHAKOPEE, Minn. — Surviving a Minnesota winter often means having something warm to look forward to, and organizers of Twin Cities Summer Jam are providing that by announcing their headliners for the 2020 music fest.

The second annual Twin Cities Summer Jam will take place July 23-25 at Canterbury Park, featuring country superstars Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band, and charismatic rap artist Pitbull. Tickets are priced from $79 to $309 for single day tickets, and $199 to $689 for 3-day packages. There are also VIP packages available.

You can buy tickets starting Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. via tcsummerjam.com or directly at ticketmaster.com.

Other acts spread out over the three-day festival include Third Eye Blind, Nelly, LOCASH, Blanco Brown, The Fabulous Armadillos and The Chris Hawkey Band.

Underwood, a multi-media superstar with achievements in music, television, and film, will close the festival Saturday. A seven-time GRAMMY winner, Underwood has sold 64 million records worldwide and has 27 number one singles, 14 of which she co-wrote. Underwood recently wrapped up her CRY PRETTY TOUR 360, selling out legendary arenas like Madison Square Garden and the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

The Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band will headline Friday. Zac Brown and his crew have had five consecutive albums reach the top 10 of the Billboard 200.

Pitbull, who staged a stirring performance at last summer's Twin Cities Summer Jam, will headline Thursday night. With #1 hits in more than 15 countries, Pitbull has sold over 5 million albums and over 60 million singles worldwide.

Last year more than 35,000 people attended Summer Jam in the first year of the unique multi-genre event, but it did not go off without controversy. Multiple news sources reported that a number of VIP package buyers demanded refunds after Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler reportedly refused to take the stage until general admission ticket holders were allowed up front.

Festival organizer Chris Hawkey and KFAN radio personality Chris Hawkey addressed the issue on the Power Trip Morning Show the Monday after. "As a festival you make choices about what you're going to do about seating, and because we paid an exorbitant amount of money for Aerosmith to be at this festival, we had to sell some VIP seating in order to make enough money to have a festival," Hawkey explained.
