FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. — If the cooler temps, early sunsets, and the occasional fall snowflakes have you dreaming of warmer days, the Minnesota State Fair may have just the thing to get you back in a late-summer mindset.

The State Fair has launched advance discount ticket sales for the 2020 Great Minnesota Get-Together by phone and on its website. The pre-fair admission tickets sell for $12 each, and are valid for guests of any age (children age 4 and under are free).

The Minnesota State Fair is coming off of another record season, setting a new all-time attendance record with more than 2.1 million visitors over the course of the 12-day fair in 2019. The State Fair also set six daily attendance records in 2019.

Pre-fair ticket purchases for 2020 are limited to 12 tickets per order, and 24 tickets per customer.

For those considering State Fair tickets as a holiday gift, the website also offers free printable cards to include with ticket purchases. Holiday gift purchases must be made by Dec. 13 if customers would like the tickets to arrive in the mail by Dec. 23.

There's still plenty of time to get tickets for next year, however. Discount pre-fair tickets will be available through Aug. 26. The 2020 Minnesota State Fair begins the following day, on Thursday, Aug. 27, and continues through Labor Day, Monday Sept. 7, 2020.
