FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. - They're back....

Four years after splitting to chase solo careers Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush are back together, giving new life to the country hit-making duo known as Sugarland. The band is writing and recording new music, and will hit the road for a tour this summer that includes a stop at the Great Minnesota Get-Together.

Sugarland will play the State Fair Grandstand on Friday, August 24th, one day after the 2018 fair opens. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, January 19. They are priced at $67 and $57, and are available through etix or by calling 1-800-514-3849. You can also purchase them in person at the State Fair Box Office in Falcon Heights.

Joining Sugarland are openers Frankie Ballard and Lindsay Eli.

The show is only the second one announced so far. Former One Direction frontman Niall Horan will play the Grandstand on opening night.

Nettles and Bush have been making music together for more than two decades. The duo's single “Baby Girl” came off Sugarland's debut album Twice the Speed of Life, and its first two No. 1 singles “Want To” and “Settlin'” were featured on the group's second album, Enjoy the Ride. The duo won its first Grammy for “Stay” in 2008.

Sugarland released Love on the Inside in 2008, and that album produced three No. 1 singles, including “All I Want to Do,” “Already Gone” and “It Happens.” To date, the duo has sold nearly 10 million albums domestically and is responsible for more than 260 million on-demand streams.
