MINNEAPOLIS - On Thursday, Minneapolis Police Chief Janee Harteau released a video statement about the looming decision in the Jamar Clark case by the Hennepin County Attorney and the effects it could have on the streets of the city; namely, protests.

Harteau’s 66 second video warned people not to do specific things – things that were done in the past in the Black Lives Matter movement protests.

But she said the warnings were not for that group or any other.

However the images in the video were of that group.

KARE 11’S Jana Shortal sat down with an expert in crisis communications today to talk about the video – and what it may have inadvertently done.
