ISANTI, Minn. - At Creamery Crossing in Isanti, owner Darrell Carlberg knows a lot of the patrons by name. That's no surprise. When you're a popular, small-town spot, you get to know people - especially when they keep coming back for the great food and great atmosphere.
When we first started our Sunny Side Up segment, we had a ton of viewers message us about Creamery Crossing. And once you're there, it's pretty clear why it's a fan favorite!
The restaurant is located on Isanti's main drag in a building that functioned as a creamery until 1969. The part of the building where Creamery Crossing is found was originally the "intake" room where milk arrived in cans. It became a cafe in 1979.
The restaurant offers breakfast favorites like pancakes and eggs and bacon, but they also have some unique specials like Walleye Eggs Benedict and a Waffle Sammie.
