ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Just take a look at Julie McDonough's resume and you''ll be impressed.
The Minneapolis mother of two has worked in financial services for 19 years and currently holds the role of Private Banking Director for Bremer Bank.
"I love my career, I love what I do," she said. "I feel like I can have a lot of positive impact on the world and that gives me a lot of personal satisfaction."
But outside of her career, McDonough has another passion: raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
When her youngest son Cole was two years old, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Now, five years after his diagnosis, Cole is cancer free.
This year, Julie is running for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Woman of the Year.
"There are tough times in life, and it's okay to be scared and it's okay to cry but at some point you have to try to find the positive in it and do something good," she explained.
