MINNEAPOLIS - Imagine a place where work and wellness blend into one.

Julie Burton had that vision and turned it into reality.

"I wanted people to walk in and exhale," she said. "I wanted people to feel bright and calm."

As founder of ModernWell, Burton has created a space where women can come to work, socialize and focus on their mental and physical health.

There's daily yoga classes, an on-site massage therapist and weekly workshops that focus on writing, meditation or enrichment.

"In addition to being a workspace, we are trying to empower women from the inside out so that we can do our best work and be our best self," Burton said.

Burton is a mother of four and said she searched for something similar when she was trying to balance work life and mom life.

"I was very isolated when I was working from home writing," she said. "I had four kids, I was very isolated and I yearned for a place like this."

She said it's all about supporting women and giving them a place to thrive.

"When I come in, I just feel so much gratitude for being able to offer this space and do this work and see these incredible women every day," Burton said.
