GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - A book about Elvis Presley that has been more than 30 years in the making will be hitting the market very soon, and there’s a Twin Cities connection to the story.
Award-winning local filmmaker and author Gary Lindberg’s “Letters from Elvis” will be available in stores on Nov. 1, 2018. The book is based on the contents of a collection of letters Elvis and his friends—Harry Belafonte, Tom Jones and Marlon Brando—wrote to their secret confidant Carmen Montez.
The letters shed light on what was happening at a time in Elvis’ life when he seemed to be in a tragic decline.
