Spring Parade of Homes gets underway

Preview of 70th annual Parade of Homes starting this weekend.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Looking for a new home or just like checking out the latest trends, the 2018 Spring Parade of Homes starts this weekend.

Now in its 70th year, the Twin Cities Parade of Homes continues to be the 'go to' resource for Twin Cities’ families to see, free of charge, the entire gamut of new homes and neighborhoods available across the region.

This spring, there are 481 new homes open noon to 6:00 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays from Feb. 24 through March 25, 2018.

Laura Marrinan, Parade of Homes style editor, stopped by the KARE 4 p.m. program to share some of the design trends you’ll see in some of the homes and more on how you can tour.

Area families are encouraged to experience the value and benefits of new homes and neighborhoods all across the spectrum of price, style and locations during the tour.

They’ll also get to see the latest in home features, finishes, products and colors for those who just love to see what’s new in home design and décor.

All the homes are free to tour, with the exception of five Dream Homes where you’ll be asked to pay a $5.00 admission at the door.

Proceeds from the Dream Homes go to the BATC-Housing First Minnesota Foundation to help them build and remodel homes for area families in need.

Free Guidebooks are available at Holiday Stationstores and more details can be found at paradeofhomes.org
