“The Substance”

We can probably all agree that we're being marketed to constantly; whether it be a sales person at the mall, our friends recommending products to us or the ads and celebrities on our social media. This product, though, is life-changing. It's called the substance and it makes you, you, only in a better way — younger, more beautiful and more perfect. Or at least, that's what Elisabeth Sparkle wants us to think.

"The Substance" follows Elisabeth Sparkle, played by Demi Moore, who is a fading celebrity taking a black-market drug that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself.

The film was written and directed by Coralie Fargeat and also stars Dennis Quaid and Margaret Qualley.
