MINNNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL - It's only the second week in October, and it already feels like winter in Minnesota.

Wouldn't a tropical vacation cure what ails you?

Well, the Belize Tourism Board and Sun Country Airlines are trying to help out by staging the #FreezeToBelize medallion scavanger hunt right here in the Twin Cities. Five Toucan medallions have been stashed in Minneapolis and St. Paul, and a free pair of round-trip airline tickets will go to those who find them.

All you have to do is go to the Belize Tourism Board's Facebook page and message the word FREEZE. A Chatbot will then provide clues that will lead to the medallions.

You might want to get on it... the hunt was set to begin at 7 a.m. on the first morning a temperature of 32 degrees Farenheit was recorded at the airport... and that was this morning. With the well-below normal temps we're currently experiencing, people will be scrambling to win those tickets.

Last month, Sun Country announced it will offer the first-ever seasonal nonstop service to Belize from MSP Airport beginning Dec. 22, 2018 and running through April 20, 2019. Flights will depart once weekly on Saturday mornings and return from Belize in the evening throughout the season. Winners of the round-trip flights will be able to fly between January 12 and February 9.
