Bike with a Ranger events happening this summer

Bike With a Ranger has been going on for more than 6 years and is a free family friendly event that is designed to get us outside and explore.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - "Our 'Bike with a Ranger' events are meant to be non-strenuous ranger lead events that have a nature component, wildlife component, and sometimes a history component," said Kyle Just, Park Ranger with the National Park Service.

The next event is happening Monday in Hastings along the Mississippi River.

"Expect to see some bald eagles, expect to learn about the geology of the Mississippi river, and why the river is important to this part of the country. The river changes more in this stretch than it does in the entire country," said Just.

Bike with a Ranger has been going on for more than six years and is a free family-friendly event that is designed to get us outside and explore. Events happen all across the Metro. If you want to participate bring a helmet and your own bike.

I will be at the Hastings event on Monday, so I look forward to seeing everybody there. I gave the Bald Eagles a call beforehand and they are going to show up too!

If you can't make the event next Monday in Hastings, there are more events happening throughout the summer. Find out the full schedule here: Mississippi Park Connection
