MINNEAPOLIS - Parks in Minneapolis and St. Paul are once again rated best in the nation by the Trust for Public Land.

The Trust for Public Land rates public park spaces for 100 of the largest cities in the U.S., based on the number of residents within a 10-minute walk to a park, total parkland acres, park budgets and amenities including restrooms, dog parks and playgrounds.

Minneapolis topped the list with 84.2 out of 100 points. St. Paul was close behind with an 82.4 rating.

Minneapolis' rank was helped by the easy park access. Restroom access was also a big factor for the Twin Cities' rankings. Other cities making the top 10 include Washington, D.C.; Arlington, Virginia; San Francisco; Chicago; New York; Portland; Cincinnati and Irvine, California.

The Trust for Public Land is a San Francisco-based nonprofit founded to create and protect public spaces in the U.S.
