MINNEAPOLIS - When you think of a vacation, you might think about taking a tour. But what if you went on that tour and it empowered you to start your own, in your hometown?
That's exactly what happened to one Twin Cities woman. Once a tourist, now a tour guide, showing off the best of the Twin Cities.
Hop aboard an "Experience the Twin Cities" tour bus, and you'll have a chance to see some of the best our city has to offer -- in food, beer and more.
"Experience the Twin Cities offers a variety of tours throughout the metro area that include brewery tours, food tours, site seeing and distillery tours," said owner and founder Rebecca Pfeiffer.
The tour has something for everyone and the tours run rain or shine, or in Minnesota, spring snow.
"This brand new enclosed bus that we have and this really fun unique bus, which is an open air bus that is covered on the top, but open on the sides which is great for warm weather," Pfeiffer said.
The tour bus is in its seventh year of business, after Pfeiffer's dream quickly became a reality after a trip of her own.
"I was traveling in another city and I tried a food tour – I had never heard of it and while I was on a food tour, I thought this was the most exciting experience I have had and a new way to see a city," she said.
Pfeiffer says the tours are of all sizes and for all age groups.
