MINNEAPOLIS - A man is dead following a shooting in North Minneapolis Thursday night.

Police were dispatched to the 1000-block of Morgan Avenue North just after 8 p.m. on reports of shots fired. Officers found the victim laying on the ground with no pulse. They immediately began CPR but were unable to revive the man, who was declared dead on the scene.

Department spokesperson Sgt. Darcy Horn says the suspect and the victim are believed to have known each other. Investigators are questioning witnesses but at this point no one is in custody in connection with the fatal shooting.
