ST. CROIX COUNTY, Wis. — Deputies say three people were killed after a motorcyclist crashed into a Lincoln passenger vehicle at the intersection of STH 64 and CTH T, in Stanton Township, St. Croix County.

A Harley Davidson motorcycle had been traveling westbound along STH 64 when it struck the Lincoln traveling north on CTH T.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office has identified the driver of the Lincoln as 55-year-old Thomas Plasch. His passenger was 46-year-old Miriam Espinosa.

The driver of the Harley Davidson motorcycle has been identified as 34-year-old Cody Cook-Terhurne.

All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

St. Croix Sheriff's investigators say Plasch and Espinosa were traveling north on County T, and stopped at the intersection with Highway 64 even though a stop sign controlling the intersection was down. Multiple witnesses also told deputies that Cook-Terhurne was traveling at a very high rate of speed prior to the fatal crash, passing vehicles on the right shoulder of the road.

Ten minutes before the crash dispatchers received a 911 call from a motorist reporting that a motorcycle matching the description of the one ridden by Cook-Terhurne passed on the center line between their vehicle and oncoming traffic, passed other vehicles on the right shoulder and on a blind hill.

Investigators are waiting for toxicology results on those involved.
